# Quickstart

> The path from an approved contract to a working integration.

<Note>
  The External Integration API is not generally available. Nothing on this page
  is a production endpoint, credential, or response schema.

When an External Integration API contract is approved, the integration path is:

1. Read the [authentication](/getting-started/authentication) page for the approved credential model.
2. Confirm which [environment](/getting-started/environments) you are calling.
3. Follow the [first API request](/getting-started/first-api-request) using the base URL published with that contract.
4. Use the [API reference](/api-reference/overview) generated from the OpenAPI document.
5. Subscribe to the webhook events published for your use case.

There is no sandbox, SDK, or production base URL to call today. Those are separate workstreams and will be linked from this page when they are approved for external use.
