# First API request

> Where the first approved request example will be published.

  The External Integration API is not generally available. Nothing on this page
  is a production endpoint, credential, or response schema.

A copy-paste request will be added here when all of the following exist:

* an approved OpenAPI contract
* an approved authentication model
* a published base URL for the target environment

Until then, this page does not include a request, a host, or a sample credential. Sending traffic to an unpublished host is not part of the developer experience.

After the contract is published, the request example on this page must match an operation in that contract. The generated [API reference](/api-reference/overview) is the source for path, parameters, and responses.
